Gloucester History Festival: September 7th – 22nd 2024

 

 

The Festival is back with over 200 mouth-watering events for history-lovers of all ages. Gloucester Day kicks off the celebrations on 7 September, followed by Heritage Open Days and ten days of compelling events from world-class speakers in the magical setting of Blackfriars Priory, Gloucester.  

Speakers include historians David Olusoga, Philippa Gregory, Dan Jones and William Dalrymple, chef Tom Kerridge, Countdown’s Suzie Dent, Sherlock actor Matt Gatiss, comedian Stewart Lee, Horrible Histories guru Greg Jenner and the world’s greatest living explorer Ranulph Fiennes.

New this year the Blackfriars Talks are live-streamed so you can enjoy them at home or in person in Gloucester.
