John Otway, legend, guitar hero and Theremin maestro, presents a set of songs including his greatest hit, “Really Free”, and the song that was voted the nations 7th favourite lyric in a poll on 1999: “Beware of the Flowers (Because I’m Sure They’re Gonna Get You)”.
John Otway is an English singer-songwriter who has built a sizeable cult audience through extensive touring, a surreal sense of humour and a self-deprecating underdog persona. Famed for his reckless physical feats, imaginative publicity stunts and grassroots campaigns involving his highly dedicated fanbase, the eccentric punk icon is always on the lookout for his next shot at fame.
This performance will take place at St Nicholas Church directly opposite The Folk of Gloucester. The cafe, bar and toilets of The Folk of Gloucester will be open and available to use throughout the event.
