Should Gloucester be called Royal Gloucester?

May 13, 2017 @ 11:30 am

£3.00

Talk by Tony Conder at St Michael’s Tower.

In 2016, citizens were asked to comment on a proposal to get Gloucester “Royal” status. Gloucester has a long history of royal residence and visits. If any city is worthy of the addition of the word Royal to its name, surely it’s Gloucester? This talk explores Gloucester’s history and how towns and cities become “Royal”.

Tickets £3.00 in advance from Gloucester Tourist Information Centre in Southgate Street.
