St Mary Magdalene’s Chapel – Heritage Open Days Event

September 11, 2016 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

The Friends of Hillfield Gardens will open the Chapel of St Mary Magdalene, the remains of a 12th century leper chapel. It contains a stone recumbent figure, which some people believe to be the effigy of St Kyneburgh.

Join Reverend Richard Atkins, from BBC Radio Gloucestershire, at 2.00pm on Sunday for a short service in the chapel, which is not normally open for services.

The chapel is situated in Hillfield Gardens at the top of London Road and  will be open from 2.00pm to 4.00pm on Saturday and Sunday.

This event is one of many making up Gloucester History Festival and Heritage Open Days.
