Gloucester Civic Trust Welcomes New Tour Guides in Special Mayoral Ceremony
Gloucester Civic Trust proudly welcomed a new group of trained tour guides in a special ceremony led by the Mayor of Gloucester, Cllr Lorraine Campbell. The event, held at St Mary de Crypt, celebrated the dedication and commitment of the new guides who will play a vital role in bringing the rich history of Gloucester to life for residents and visitors alike.
Under the expert training of Chris Burton, the new tour guides have undergone comprehensive preparation to ensure they are well-equipped to share Gloucester’s remarkable heritage. The ceremony marked the official induction of Joe Martin, Dave Carlile, June Chapman, and Paul Firth, who will now join the esteemed team of Civic Trust tour guides.
Trainer Chris Burton praised the new recruits for their hard work and enthusiasm: “It has been a pleasure to train this group of guides. Their commitment to learning and their enthusiasm for Gloucester’s heritage are truly inspiring. I have no doubt they will enhance the city’s visitor experience.”
