St Mary’s Congregational Church – Heritage Open Days Event

September 10, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Free

The original St Mary’s Hall situated in St Mary’s Square was bought by Selina, Countess of Huntingdon, in 1788 for the Gloucester followers of George Whitefield, the famous 18th century preacher. The church has evolved over the years and now stands in its replacement building (c.1958) as a Congregational Church, which welcomes one and all to both morning and evening Sunday Services, led by various preachers.

The church will be open from 10.00am to 4.00pm on Saturday and Sunday with Harvest Festival Services on Sunday at 10.30am and 6.30pm.

The church is situated in St Mary’s Street.

This event is one of many making up Gloucester History Festival and Heritage Open Days.
