Situated in Brunswick Road (behind the Museum of Gloucester)
The house was built in 1750 for Richard Chandler, a woolstapler by trade and remained in the Chandler family until 1876.
It then became a school for young ladies. In 1883 it became the home of the Gloucester Conservative Club. It is still a members club to date.
This is a grade 2* listed building – the main original feature for visitors to view is the magnificent wooden staircase. The bar and lounge will be open for refreshments.
