Come for tea and cake at Hedleys at 64 Westgate Street in this beautifully restored 15th century building.
The windows on the ground floor are examples of mid-Victorian plate glass using technology gained in build the Crystal Palace in London for the Great Exhibition in 1851. You can still see some of the original beams inside Gloucester’s oldest retail premises.
The cellar will be open for viewing between 5.00pm and 6.00pm on Thursday 8th and Saturday 10th. There are steep steps. No booking required by numbers will be regulated.
