Tony Conder will talk about one of the city’s greatest engineering firms, Fielding and Platt, which closed in the 1990s.

The factory is remembered with pride by thousands of people who worked there.

Although known principally for their hydraulic products, they also made a wide range of items noted for excellent quality and long life.
