Bearland House is an impressive 18th century building with an ornamental facade and forecourt with fine wrought iron railings and gates. The interior boasts a carved wooden staircase and decorated ceilings. it was purchased by a county High Sheriff in 1764 and the ghost of his daughter is said to appear at the staircase window.
