Event Details

To celebrate the Tudor origins of this unique building in the heart of the Cathedral Quarter in Gloucester the Folk of Gloucester is proud to launch our first Tudor day.

On Saturday the 4th of May 2024 from 10 am to 4 pm the Folk will go back in time and allow everyone to meet the Tudors.

Vidor the Monk displays his fantastical willow-making abilities, creating fantastic birds, beasts and flying creatures just as they would have done in Tudor times.

Hear Tudor music drifting through the timber-framed building with the Bristol Waites and Bygonz.

For the crafters, there will be spinning yarns, sewing and carving of utensils and costumes of the Tudor Court.

If you would like to test your competitive spirit have a try at some Tudor games like  Quoits available to play on the day.

Entry is Free of charge.
