THE FOLK OF GLOUCESTER
EXPLORE THE HISTORIC TUDOR BUILDING IN GLOUCESTER.
Nestled in the Cathedral Quarter at the heart of the city, The Folk of Gloucester includes a 500-year-old Tudor merchant’s house with beautifully preserved original features. Once home to Gloucester Folk Museum, we are now a thriving historic building and community hub run by Gloucester Civic Trust: a charity which strives to protect and promote Gloucester’s rich architectural heritage. We are free to look around and host a year-round programme of music, theatre, workshops and kids’ events. Rooms are available to book in our main building and modern meeting space, the Ed Shed.
Our cosy café serves a range of delicious home-cooked lunches, cakes and snacks and barista coffees, and our Secret Garden is an oasis of green and calm in city centre.
Opening Hours (free entry): Tuesdays – Saturdays 10am – 4pm.
Café serving hot food until 2pm.

There are lots of opportunities such as meeting and greeting, helping in the cafe and bar, conducting tours, organising our events, stewarding, building maintenance, administration and lots more.
