Heritage Open Weekend – 12, 13 and 14 September. This is a national event where many of our heritage buildings are open to the public free of charge. The Civic Trust has a host of walks on offer – all free.
At the time of writing we are told that for this year there will be a tour of the recently closed Gloucester Prison.
Gloucester City Council tell us the Heritage Open Weekend booklets will be available early August. Booklets will be available at St Michael’s Tower. As always, the walks and talks have limited capacity and it’s essential you book tickets well in advance at the Tourist Information Centre and Guildhall.
There will be a link on our Civic Trust website (home page) to all the Heritage Open Weekend events.
