The King’s Walk Bastion. This fascinating piece of Gloucester’s history will be opened up for Heritage Open Days this year. See how the Roman walls have survived and how the medieval Bastion was built to help protect Gloucester from attack.
Owing to limited space underground, parties will be limited to a maximum of ten for each tour which will take place every half hour from 2.00pm to 4.00pm on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th with trained guides.
Pre-booking required. Tickets available from Tourist Information Office in Southgate Street.
Meet at the Bastion entrance in Kings Walk.
This event is one of a number making up the Gloucester History Festival and Heritage Open Days.
