By the 1740s a nursery had been established at the Chapel House Garden in St Catherine Street, and keen gardeners were meeting annually at an inn in the city for a florists’ feast. This talk explores the nurseryman and gardeners of Georgian Gloucester their gardens, nurseries and flower shows where they displayed their harvest.
The following talks are open to all Gloucester Civic Trust members and are held at St John’s Church, Northgate Street, Gloucester.
