Tower volunteer Anne brings a popular craft to St Michael’s Tower in Gloucester.
Scrapbooking is not a new hobby but has been restyled into a modern craft. The idea is to collate memorabilia and photos, which are often themed, into scrapbook pages. However, this is no ordinary scrapbook. Special techniques are used to help set the scene.
Anne says, “we use various methods to age something modern to look old which completely transforms how photos and other memorabilia are presented. I first started scrapbooking as I have many old family photos. This is a great way of recording your family history. The scrapbook reflects different decades in every way, from fashion to transport. Having a scrapbook is a valuable keepsake where photos and special memories are preserved in your own special way”.
Anne is now setting up a series of scrapbook workshops in St Michael’s Tower. They will be run in the afternoons from 2.00 pm until 4.00 pm.
