A free guide highlighting four waterside walks between the Gloucester Sharpness Canal and River Severn is now available from the Tourist Information Centre in the city.
The four walks range from 1.5 – 5.5 miles and take in little known glorious countryside on the doorstep of Gloucester.
The guide contains information on amenities close by, including car parks and bus routes.
There is also information regarding kissing gates styles and other details, so anyone with a mobility impairment can decide the most appropriate route and enjoy the beautiful walks.
Stephen Morgan, cabinet member for the environment, Gloucester City Council said; “The walks showcase an area from Gloucester all the way down to Elmore offering great opportunities for the quiet enjoyment of the countryside.
“This follows extensive redevelopment of the area with our partners over the last nine years. Projects like this help us on our way to becoming a thriving 21st century city.”
The leaflet describes four walks, all enjoyable and varied, requiring only some comfortable walking boots or shoes and the easy to follow map included.
