Gloucester Civic Trust have announced July 31st as the opening day for St Michaels Tower. Members of the trust will attend a preliminary `Tower opening event’ on that day and experience the available range of Audio/Visual equipment designed to provide coverage of the history and heritage of Gloucester.
An official opening of the Tower will take place on September 9th at 12p.m when Bishop Michael will carry out a dedication service of the building and a Civic Party will be present together with all grant providers and supporters. However from midday on the 31st of July the doors will be open from Monday to Saturday between the hours of 10-30am and 4-30pm. Members of the trust will be available to explain the history of the tower, its regeneration into a City heritage centre and the extensive programme of events due to take place during the coming months.
