Folk at the Folk

Hop, skip and jump down to the folk museum for a fun filled day celebrating Gloucester’s folk traditions.

On Saturday 25th July from 11am-3 pm the city’s Folk Museum will be home to some of the best of Gloucestershire’s folk musicians and dancers.

The programme for the day includes:

11 – 11.45am – “Puzzlejug” – a toe tapping four piece Gloucestershire band performing traditional British and American Folk songs

11.45 – 12.30pm – “Confoundry” – Stroud based duo bringing the best of Americana, original and traditional folk songs

12.30 – 12.45 Short break.

12.45 – 1.30pm – “Ragged and Old Morris” – Morris side based near Stroud  performing a wide range of Morris dances in the Cotswold tradition.

1.30 – 2.15pm – “Innes and Lake” – Gloucestershire based duo performing traditional folk songs and dance tunes from across the British Isles

2.15 – 3pm – “Terry Emm” – Award winning singer songwriter and guitarist performing a range of self penned contemporary folk songs.
