Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

The Gloucestershire County Blind Association (GCBA) is opening up a “drop in” centre in St Michael’s Tower. The Gloucestershire County Blind Association will be setting up an information point in St Michael’s Tower every Wednesday morning, starting 24th February, from 10.00 am until 1.00 pm.

The information point will offer people with impaired vision and their families advice and support.

No appointment is required. A spokesperson for GCBA says there’s such a lot of help available but people aren’t aware it’s there.

The aim is to sensitively light up the whole of the Tower during the evening to help make the Cross area more attractive and to make the Tower more attractive for our users. This is Phase 2 of the St Michael’s Tower restoration project.
