New Language Immersion Centre

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

Members of the Civic Trust attended a GHURC meeting where plans for the new language centre were reviewed.

The language centre will occupy the former “clutch clinic” site in Commercial Road.  The centre will concentrate on the 14- 19 year old age group with Chinese being one of the main languages on offer. It’s called an Immersion Centre, as from the minute you walk in, your course encompasses all things, including language, dress and culture – quite an interesting concept in language learning. The funds are in place, and plans are moving forward very quickly.
