Tours of the best preserved Dominican Priory in England

On Sunday 5th July and every Sunday throughout the summer an experienced Gloucester Civic Trust guide will conduct a tour of the Blackfriars Priory in Ladybellegate Street. The Priory, parts of which date back to 1240AD, is considered to be the best example of its type remaining and includes a “Scriptorium” which is Britain’s oldest library. (more…)

Exciting New Themed Walks and Talks for Gloucester
Gloucester Civic Trust is launching a series of new walks and talks to tantalise residents and visitors alike.
The new additions form part of the Civic Trust’s St Michael’s Tower of Learning Project.
