Samuel Bowly – Antony Barlow

Samuel Bowly was  a true Christian gent. Not only was he a revered local businessman and leader of a temperance movement, but he was also, along with William Wilberforce, one of the prime movers in the abolition of slavery in the 19th century. One of his descendants, Antony Barlow, tells Sam’s story.
